Choose the two numbers that make the equation true. What take away what equals one. Choose from the numbers 18, seven, 14, 13, and three.

So we’re looking for two numbers that have a difference of one, because the answer to the subtraction calculation is one. Here are all of our numbers on a number line, three, seven, 13, 14, 18. This helps us to see that 14 is one more than 13. And these two numbers have a difference of one. So 14 take away 13 equals one.

The two missing numbers are 14 and 13.
