Which of the following animals are unlikely to be kept as pets?

We’re shown a group of animals. And we’re asked to decide which ones we would not keep as pets. Let’s look more closely at the animals and decide which ones we could categorise or group as pets and which ones we could group as not pets. Let’s start with the dog. Would we keep a dog as a pet? Yes, we could.

Could we keep a fish as a pet? Yes, we could. How about a lion? Probably not. It’s pretty unlikely that we would keep a lion as a pet. A lion is a wild animal. How about a giraffe? Would we keep a giraffe as a pet? Pretty unlikely.

We could keep a bird as a pet, and we could keep a cat as a pet. So, the animals we could keep as pets are the dog, the fish, the bird, and the cat. And the animals it would be unlikely to keep as pets are the lion and the giraffe.
