Find 10 more than 62. Use the number line to help you. The number line is marked in divisions of 10. And it starts at 40, 50, 60, 70, 80. Each division represents 10 counters. We have to find 10 more than 62. 62 is marked here on the number line. 62 is two counters past 60. And if we add another eight, that will get us to 70. We know that two and eight make 10. So if we start at 62 and add eight, we just need to add another two to find 10 more than 62. 62 and 8 is 70; 70 and two is 72. 10 more than 62 is 72.
