We need to find out how many tens there are in 80. Let’s count in jumps of 10 until we reach 80. One ten is 10. Two tens are 20. Three tens are 30. Four tens makes 40. Five tens are 50. Six tens are 60. Seven tens makes 70. There are eight tens in 80. Eight times 10 is 80. 80 divided by 10 equals eight.

We used a number line and tens rods to help us count how many tens there are in 80. 80 divided by 10 equals eight.
