In the figure below, find the ratio between segment π΄π΅ and segment πΆπ· in its simplest form.

When writing a ratio, itβs very important to pay particularly close to the order. It said between π΄π΅ and πΆπ·, so we go π΄π΅ to πΆπ·. π΄π΅ has a length of 33 centimetres. πΆπ· has a length of 22 centimetres.

Now this is indeed a ratio. However, it should be in its simplest form, so we need to reduce it if itβs possible. And there is indeed a number that goes into 33 and 22. That would be 11. 33 divided by 11 is three, and 22 divided by 11 is two. So the ratio between π΄π΅ and πΆπ· in its simplest form would be three to two.
