Determine whether the quantities in the following rates are proportional. 63 points scored in seven games, and 76 points scored in 10 games.

In order for two quantities to be proportional, they need to have a constant ratio. This means they should be equal once they are reduced. So we need to look at the points scored per the number of games to find our rates. There were 63 points scored in seven games, and 76 points scored in 10 games. 63 divided by seven is equal to nine, and 76 divided by 10 is equal to 7.6.

Nine is not equal to 7.6. Therefore, these rates are not proportional. So the quantities in the following rates were nonproportional.
