First we need to add together three and six. Let’s count how many bricks there are altogether. Here is three four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Three plus six is nine.
Now we need to add 30 and 60. Here we have three tens rods and six tens rods. Let’s count in tens: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90. 30 plus 60 is 90.
