Complete the table finding the place value of six.

So if we look at the table, we can see that there are two numbers: 659 and 746. We have to find the value of the six digit in each of these numbers. We can see the first number, 659, has been done for us. So let’s work through this example to help us find the value of the digit six.

The best way to do this is to use a place value chart. As 659 has three digits, there are three columns in our chart. So our chart has a column for hundreds, tens, and ones. And we have to find the value of the six digit in our number 659.

So the six digit is in the hundreds place, and it has a value of 600. So the six digit has a value of 600, and it’s in the hundreds place in our place value chart. So if we write our actual number, 746, into the place value chart, we can see that the six digit has a value of six or six ones, as it’s placed in the ones column.

So if we were to complete the table, the six digit in 746 would have a value of six and a place value in the ones column. So our answer is six ones.
