Determine the outlier of the following set of data: 16, 16, 15, 18, 15, 15, and 56.

In statistics, an outlier is an observation point that is distant from the other observations. An outlier may be due to variability in the measurement or may indicate experimental error. So out of this set, the number that is distant from the others far away would be 56. This means 56 would be our outlier.
