Choose the most appropriate unit to measure the capacity of a fish tank, in order to avoid very large numbers or small decimals. Liter or milliliter.

The question asks us which unit we should use to measure the capacity of a fish tank. Capacity is the amount of water or liquid that the fish tank can hold. So should we measure the amount of water using liters or milliliters?

To help visualize this, I’ve drawn a liter bottle and a five-milliliters spoon. You may have seen a liter bottle of soda. A five-milliliter teaspoon is the same as one spoonful of medicine. It would probably take a very long time to measure the capacity of the fish tank using milliliters.

So the most appropriate unit to measure the fish tank with, would be liters.
