The table shows the marks that a class of students received in their mathematics test. How many students are in the class?

Eight students received either zero or one mark. Four students received two or three marks. Five students received either four or five marks. Two students received six or seven marks. And finally, 10 students received eight or more marks.

To work out the total number of students, we need to add the frequencies. We need to add eight, four, five, two, and 10. Adding these five numbers gives us a total of 29.

This means that there are 29 students in the class.
