Sita puts 10 balls in each bag. How many balls are in the bags altogether?

We know that each bag contains 10 balls. And we need to work out how many balls there are altogether. To work out the answer, we need to count in tens because each bag contains 10 balls. 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.

Another way we could find the answer is to count the number of bags. And then, we multiply the number of bags by 10 because there are 10 balls in each bag. And we know that 10 times 10 is 100. There are 100 balls altogether because 10 times 10 is 100.
