Video Transcript
In this video, we will show you how to attend a live session using your Nagwa Portals account.
To attend a live session, you have two options: the first is via the dedicated Nagwa Connect for Students app, and the second is via a browser. Both options require you to sign in using your student account.
To join from the app, first download it from the App Store or Google Play Store and then sign in using your student account credentials. If your educator has arranged and launched a session, you’ll see it displayed on the app and you’ll be able to join. If you can’t see any sessions, please speak to your educator. If you can see a session but can’t yet join, you’ll need to wait until your educator launches it.
Once you’ve joined the session, you may be asked to unmute the educator’s microphone and then you’re good to go! You’ll be able to see any writing or graphics added to the whiteboard and hear any commentary. You’ll notice the chat feed on the right-hand side, which will update if you or any other attendees post a message.
To join a session from a browser, first head over to www.nagwa.com, choose the language, and then sign in using your student account credentials. Once signed in, click on “Assignments” followed by “Sessions”. You’ll then see a list of all current and past sessions. If a scheduled session is active, you’ll be able to join it by clicking “Join”.
Once joined, unmute the educator’s microphone and you’re good to go. As with the app, you’ll be able to see any writing or graphics added to the whiteboard and hear any commentary. You’ll notice the chat feed on the right-hand side, which will update if you or any other attendees post a message. You can also expand the screen to full screen if you would like.
It’s also worth noting that if your educator ends the session, it will not immediately end for you as a student. You’ll have time to copy any remaining notes before you close the screen.
