We have to count the number of
owls. And to help, we’re told to group
them into 10s. We could use tens frames. We’ve made one group of 10. Now, we’ve made two groups of
10. Let’s count the 10s, 10, 20. And there are three owls left
over. 21, 22, 23. There are 23 owls. We made two groups of 10. And there were three left over. 20 and three more is 23.
