Liam and Hannah were asked to colour one-third of the same rectangle. They coloured different-shaped pieces. Who is correct?

This is Hannah’s rectangle. And she’s divided her rectangle into three equal parts, or thirds. And we can see that she has shaded one-third. So, we know that Hannah is correct. This is Liam’s rectangle. It’s the same size as Hannah’s rectangle. Liam has also divided his rectangle into three equal parts, or thirds. And he shaded one-third of his rectangle. They are both correct.

Liam and Hannah have both coloured one-third of the same rectangle. Although they’ve colour different shaped pieces, they’ve both coloured one-third. The answer is they are both correct.
