The diagram shows an electric circuit. How many voltmeters are there in the circuit?

Here, we are given a diagram of an electric circuit with many different components, and we are asked to find out how many voltmeters are present. To answer this question, we’ll need to know the circuit symbol of a voltmeter. In a circuit diagram, like the one we have here, a voltmeter appears this way. Anywhere we see this symbol in our diagram, we know that a voltmeter is present.

Looking at our diagram, we count one, two, three instances of this symbol. We know therefore the number of voltmeters in this circuit. The answer is three voltmeters.
