In this ten frame, there are 10 counters. And in this ten frame, there’s one counter. So 10 plus one has the same answer as 16 minus five. So 16 minus five is the same as 10 plus one, which is 11.

The expression which has the same answer is 16 take away five is 10 plus one. 10 plus one is 11. So 16 minus five equals 11.
