Find the coordinates of the image of 13, four under the transformation 𝑥, 𝑦 is been transformed to 𝑥 plus five 𝑦 minus two.
So what this means is to get the coordinates of the image we need to add five to the original, or the preimage, point of 𝑥 and subtract two from the original 𝑦.
So again, we add five to the 𝑥-coordinate and we subtract two from the 𝑦-coordinate. So here are the coordinates of the preimage. And to get the coordinates of the image, we need to add five to 13 and subtract two from four.
13 plus five is 18, and four minus two is two. Therefore, after the transformation that was done on the preimage, we find that the coordinates of the image is 18, two.
