Evaluate three one hundredths plus negative 31 one hundredths, giving the answer in its simplest form.

Here we’re adding like fractions because they have the same denominator. So we keep that same denominator. And then for the numerators, we add them. So we need to add three and negative 31, which is negative 28. And negative 28 and 100 can both be simplified by reducing them both by four. Therefore, after simplifying, we get a final answer of negative seven twenty-fifths.
