What is the value of three 𝑖 squared?

We recall that an imaginary number is a complex number that can be written as a real number multiplied by the imaginary unit 𝑖, where 𝑖 squared is equal to negative one. This means that three 𝑖 squared is equal to three multiplied by negative one. Multiplying a positive number by a negative number gives a negative answer. Therefore, three multiplied by negative one is equal to negative three. The value of three 𝑖 squared is equal to negative three. It is worth noting at this point when we raise 𝑖 to any even power, we will get a real number, whereas if we raise it to an odd power, we will get an imaginary number.
