Three-quarters of 40 equals what?

To find a quarter of a number, we have to divide the number by four. This will tell us how much one-quarter of 40 is. Once we found a quarter of 40, we can multiply it by three because we need to find three-quarters of 40. So, let’s start by dividing 40 by four. How many fours are there in 40? 10. 10 times four is 40. Now we know that a quarter of 40 is 10, we can multiply 10 by three to find three-quarters.
