Does this shape have rotational symmetry?
Imagine if we put our finger where the blue dot is and spun a star around. The pink star is the first star after it’s been turned 45 degrees. Let’s turn it 45 degrees again. When we rotate the shape 90 degrees, we can only see one image. And that’s because after a rotation of 90 degrees, the second image looks exactly the same as the first image. And that’s what it means to have rotational symmetry.
So yes, this shape does have rotational symmetry.
