A restaurant has two offers. In the first offer, you can buy three pizzas for 75 dollars. In the second offer, you can buy five pizzas for 117 dollars 50 cents. Which is the better offer?

In order to compare the two offers, we need to work out the cost of one pizza. For the first offer, this involves dividing 75 by three as we can buy three pizzas for 75 dollars. 75 divided by three is equal to 25. Therefore, offer one cost 25 dollars per pizza.

For offer two, we need to divide 117.5 by five. This is because we can buy five pizzas for 117 dollars and 50 cents. 117.5 divided by five is 23.5. Therefore, offer two cost 23 dollars 50 cents per pizza.

As 23 dollars 50 is less than 25 dollars, we can say that offer two is the better offer.
