Here is a shaded shape on a grid. The shape is translated so that point A moves to point B. Draw the shape in its new position. Use a ruler.

Point A has moved five squares to the right and two squares down. So we can do the same to this point: five squares to the right and two squares down. We can do the same to this point, five squares across, two squares down, and the same to the point on the top. Now we have each of the four points. We just need to join them with a ruler. Now we’ve completed the shape in its new position.
