Write the ordered pair for the location of the monkeys.
Remember that an ordered pair shows the 𝑥- and then the 𝑦-axis locations. The first thing we can do is look on our graph and find the monkeys. Once we find the point that’s labeled monkeys, we’ll need to figure out what its 𝑥-coordinate is and its 𝑦-coordinate.
The monkeys’ space on the 𝑥-axis, its 𝑥-coordinate, is four. The first point in our ordered pair would be four. Now we need to do the same thing on the 𝑦-axis. The 𝑦-coordinate for the position of the monkeys is five. We add the number five to our ordered pair; then we can say that the monkeys are located at point four, five.
