Given that 𝑋 is equal to this set, with elements 𝑑, ℎ, and 𝑛 and 𝑌 is a set with elements ℎ, 𝑒, 𝑙, and 𝑑, find 𝑋 minus 𝑌.

So we want to take the elements of 𝑋 and subtract the elements of 𝑌. So we want to subtract the yellow ones from the blue ones. So first, we can subtract an ℎ. So we subtracted an ℎ from the set 𝑋. Now, the set 𝑌 has an 𝑒. However, the set 𝑋 doesn’t have an 𝑒. So we can’t really subtract it. And then we have an 𝑙 which we also can’t subtract. However, there is a 𝑑.

So if we take away that 𝑑, what do we have left with 𝑋? Because we’re taking this set 𝑋 and then taking away the elements from 𝑌. So once we take away those elements from 𝑌, what is left in 𝑋 is simply element 𝑛. So this will be our final answer.
