Objectives
Students will be able to
- calculate the areas of rectangles using the formula ,
- calculate the volumes of rectangular prisms using the formula ,
- calculate the areas of right triangles using the formula ,
- calculate the volumes of right triangular prisms using the formula ,
- combine these formulas to find the areas and volumes of compound shapes.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the definition of a right triangle.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- curved objects.
