Objectives
Students will be able to
- count in 1s to find the value of a group of pennies,
- count in 5s to find the value of a group of nickels,
- count in 10s to find the value of a group of dimes,
- find how many coins make a given amount,
- compare the values of groups of coins.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- counting in 2s,
- counting in 5s,
- counting in 10s.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- cent values greater than 100,
- counting coins of different denominations,
- counting dollars,
- adding money.
