Lesson Plan: Powers and Exponents Mathematics • 6th Grade

This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to identify the base and exponent in powers, write them in exponential, expanded, and word forms, and evaluate simple powers.


Students will be able to
