- solve simple matrix equations that contain addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, and matrix transpose for a matrix or an element in a matrix,
- combine addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, and transposing matrices.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- adding and subtracting matrices,
- scalar multiplication of matrices,
- equal matrices,
- finding the transpose of a matrix.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- matrix multiplication.
