Objectives
Students will be able to
- estimate the difference between two decimal numbers by rounding to the nearest whole number, ten, or hundred,
- estimate the difference between two decimal numbers by rounding to compatible numbers.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- rounding a decimal number to the nearest whole number.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- estimating the difference between decimal numbers with more than four decimal places.
