Lesson Plan: Recognizing Notes: GBP Mathematics
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to recognize and tell the value of all the notes used in the UK.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- recognize the front and back of the notes used in the UK,
- state the value of different denominations of notes,
- identify notes that are partially covered,
- compare the value of two different notes.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- recognizing coins used in the UK,
- stating the value of coins used in the UK.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- counting money,
- the symbols used for pounds and pence,
- the word denomination.
