Objectives

Students will be able to

  • use models to represent the numbers 41–50,
  • read and write the numerals 41–50,
  • count from 41 to 50,
  • describe a quantity from 41 to 50 with numerals,
  • show quantities written as numerals.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • counting to 40,
  • using models to represent numbers up to 40,
  • reading and writing numerals up to 40.

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • numbers greater than 50,
  • writing numbers in word form,
  • decomposing two-digit numbers into tens and ones.
