Objectives

Students will be able to

  • count groups of objects arranged vertically, horizontally, and randomly,
  • count groups of objects arranged as groups of ten and some more ones,
  • count groups of objects to identify the smaller or larger group,
  • use the terms less than, greater than, and equal to to compare groups of objects,
  • use comparison symbols to compare groups of objects.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • comparing groups of up to 10 objects,
  • counting up to 20 objects.

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • comparing numbers up to 20,
  • ordering numbers up to 20.
