Objectives
Students will be able to
- calculate a percentage increase from one quantity to another,
- calculate a percentage decrease from one quantity to another,
- solve word problems where a percentage change is included in the context.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- defining percentage,
- finding percentages of amounts.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- simple interest,
- compound interest,
- percentage equations,
- converting between percentages, fractions, and decimals.
