Objectives
Students will be able to
- relate place value models to subtraction expressions involving three-digit numbers,
- use column subtraction to solve calculations,
- solve problems using column subtraction.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- place value of three-digit numbers,
- subtracting ones, tens, and hundreds from three-digit numbers.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- numbers above 1,000,
- subtractions that require regrouping.
