Lesson Plan: Drawing Angles

Objectives

Students will be able to

  • use a protractor to accurately draw an acute angle,
  • use a protractor to accurately draw an obtuse angle,
  • use a protractor to accurately draw a right angle,
  • use a protractor to accurately draw an angle of a given size.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • measuring angles using a protractor,
  • drawing lines with lengths measured in centimeters or millimeters accurately.

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • drawing angles larger than 180 degrees.
