Lesson Plan: Kilogram Weights
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to measure and compare the masses of objects with 1 kg, 1/2 kg, and 1/4 kilogram weights.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- investigate combinations of kg and kg weights that equal to 1 kg,
- measure the masses of objects using these weights,
- compare the masses of objects using weights and scales.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- measuring masses in kilograms,
- comparing masses in kilograms.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- using weights other than 1 kg, kg, and kg.
