Lesson Plan: Uses of Capacitors

Objectives
Students will be able to
- describe how capacitors can be used to create simple smoothing circuits,
- identify and draw the output of a simple smoothing circuit.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- capacitors,
- alternating current,
- rectified current.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- calculations of the output potential difference of a smoothing circuit at a given point in time.
