Lesson Plan: Multiplication Patterns
This lesson plan includes the objectives and prerequisites of the lesson teaching students how to find missing numbers in input–output tables with a multiplication rule and investigate patterns in the numbers in the table.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- identify a multiplication rule in a table,
- link a multiplication rule with repeated addition,
- follow a multiplication rule to complete a table.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 times tables up to ,
- recognizing multiplication as repeated addition.
