Objectives
Students will be able to
- find multiple ways of adding two numbers to make a given total up to 20,
- find multiple ways of subtracting two numbers to make a given total up to 20,
- find multiple ways of adding three numbers to make a given total up to 20.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- reading and writing numbers up to 20,
- addition strategies, including making 10, using doubles, and using near doubles,
- subtraction strategies, including counting on and back.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- making totals greater than 20.
