This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to use the start time of an event and its duration to calculate the end time, when all times are to the nearest five minutes.
Objectives
Students will be able to

- calculate the end time where the start time is written digitally,
- use number lines and skip counting forward around clock faces to work out end times,
- solve problems where start times and durations are given and it is necessary to calculate the end time.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- reading analog and digital times to the nearest five minutes,
- calculating the duration of an event.
