Objectives

Students will be able to

  • calculate the end time where the start time is shown on an analog clock,
  • calculate the end time where the start time is written digitally,
  • use number lines and skip counting forward around clock faces to work out end times,
  • solve problems where start times and durations are given and it is necessary to calculate the end time.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • reading analog and digital times to the nearest five minutes,
  • calculating the duration of an event.

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • converting units of time,
  • am and pm,
  • 24-hour times.
