Lesson Plan: Components of Earth Geology
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to identify the components of Earth and recognize its internal structure, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- recognize and identify the different components of Earth,
- describe the different internal layers of Earth in terms of their physical and compositional properties,
- describe the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, and the biosphere.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- how Earth was formed.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- plate tectonics and continental drift.
