This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to classify differential equations into ordinary or partial and linear or nonlinear and identify the order of the differential equations.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- identify solutions to differential equations using differentiation,
- determine the order and degree of a differential equation,
- distinguish between ordinary and partial differential equations,
- recognize linear and nonlinear differential equations.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- differentiation.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- solving differential equations.
