Objectives

Students will be able to

  • identify and describe different types of landforms,
  • identify and compare patterns of Earth’s features,
  • explain why there are patterns in Earth’s features.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • the fact that different types of features exist on Earth’s surface,
  • using maps to identify Earth’s features, including physical maps and topographic maps.

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • details of how landforms are made,
  • weathering and erosion.
