Lesson Plan: The Fundamental Forces Science
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to identify fundamental forces and distinguish between them.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- recall the names of the four fundamental forces,
- recognize that the weak nuclear force is the cause of radioactive decay.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the idea that different types of forces exist.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- any calculations,
- polarities of forces,
- any details about charged particles and/or nucleons (not even their names),
- quantitative relations between gravitation and mass,
- quantitative relations between electromagnetism and charge.
