- decompose five-digit numbers in multiple ways.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- place values of 5-digit numbers,
- representing 5-digit numbers using visual models,
- representing 4-digit numbers in standard form, expanded form, word form, and in terms of place value.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- comparing or ordering 5-digit numbers.
