Lesson Plan: Wind, Rainfall, and Torrents

Objectives

Students will be able to

  • identify the role of wind as an erosional and depositional agent and describe the different types of sand dunes,
  • describe the mechanical and chemical degradation effects of rainfall,
  • identify the role of torrents as degradation and deposition agents and describe the related landforms.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • Earth’s surface processes.

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • primary geological structures.
