This lesson plan includes the objectives of the lesson teaching students how to plan experiments that make observations and test hypotheses using a range of techniques and apparatus.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- plan high-quality experiments that aim to make useful observations and test hypotheses,
- identify independent, dependent, and control variables in a given context,
- identify the most appropriate pieces of equipment to carry out certain investigations,
- record observations accurately using a range of apparatus,
- outline how to make sure investigations are repeatable and reproducible.
