Objectives
Students will be able to
- understand the definition of an injective function (one-to-one),
- identify whether a function, given algebraically, is injective,
- use the horizontal line test to determine whether any function, given graphically, is injective.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- graphs of functions.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- definitions for surjective and bijective functions.
